christmas 2008 recap (anecdotal version)

1- In all my years in Vancouver, I've never had so many events cancelled due to snow
2- There is no mercy for people working in news/current affairs, even during the holidays
3- Cars getting stuck in the snow = male bonding time
4- Cheese, meat, bread and booze REALLY brings people together
5- I love winning at Monopoly! And sibling rivalry can get pretty ugly when estates get auctioned during the game...
6- I still really don't like Christmas music.
7- I love how everybody in the house is just free to be lazy and chill during these few days...the low-keyness is the best part of the holidays! For this one time in the year, we retire our usual busybody selves...eat way too much...and play like we used to :)
