mmm, I think I was pretty unclear in the previous post and I wanted to clarify a bit about what I actually mean. "Detachment" was a poor word choice, and what I mean to say is that...to really love someone means letting go of our expectations of them. truly loving a person means that we offer up our love without the need to be compensated for it...we usually fall short of this, I definitely do feel that this is an important thing to aspire to.

On a completely irrelevant note...today is also a sad day because CW has officially announced the death of Veronica Mars. I am actually...quite irritated by this. So...put a load of CRAP on your network (the new fall schedule boasts a certain reality show called "Farmer gets a wife"...guess what THAT'S about?) but ignore the one great show that gave you an ounce of cred (ok, finefine...Gilmore Girls). LAME.
