shopping day galore

ahh...it all began with a few phone calls on monday night. after some time, i had compiled a list of possible gifts for our sponsor families; mom and kids alike=)
me being the organizing nazi, typed up the lists and confirmed with my partners in crime on the next day's shopping adventure.

ETA (to various locations): 10-ish
Driver: A certain Mr.Cheung
Crew members: Mr. Lam, Ms. Fong, and myself.
Lunch Location: To be determined.

9:50am: I wake up. "CRAP!"...as I was scheduled to arrive at Mr.Cheung's @ 10am. Luckily enough, he woke up precisely 10 minutes after.
10:20: Pick up the elves. (Lam and Fong)
10:30: Arrive @ RC. We head straight to Old Navy and boys promptly pick up a great ski jacket for one of the kids. 50% off, thank you very much. Fong and I take a little bit longer, but manage to find a pair of appropriate jeans for one of the moms. 75% clearance, thank you very much.
10:50: Head off to "The Face" shop in RC. After getting used to the glaring white lights, Fong and I pick out black eyeliner for one of the moms.
11:00: Lansdowne time! Winners is the first stop, where the boys successfully find oversized t-shirts that suit the hip-hop/gangsta style. G-UNIT!=) We also decide that perhaps we will not purchase any rap CDs in fear that Mom does not approve of the language. Smart move, Cheung, smart move. Fong and I pick out a "groovy" pair of hipster jeans for one of the girls, and a lovely cinnamon apple pie candle.
11:20: BEST BUY! Wow...the prices are pretty great. We picked up Gwen Stefani's CD, a Classic Queen compilation and a Christmas compilation. All very very cheap. Our one expensive item: Harry Potter GBA game...but the kids are gonna go nuts.=) (And Lam informed us of just how expensive Pokemon is)
11:45: Time to head off to Aberdeen. Due to growling stomachs, we decide to eat first. However, we decided to check if Mr.Lo was working, but only saw his co-worker. Fong waved, we didn't. The boys bought the lunchboxes (char siu, siu yok, yau gai fan), and the girls went to starbucks because I wanted to visit. Intentions of visit: Top secret. Results of visit: Intentions unfulfilled, but Venti Caramel X-Hot, X-Cr, Caramel Macchiato and Tall Americano were purchased.
12:15pm: Lunch has been consumed. Fong realizes how ridiculously hilarious Lam is. We all experience the "milk icy" that Cheung speaks highly of. (MmmmmMMM!)
12:18: Welcome to DAISO! Wow...I feel terrible for those who have to work there. How do they stand it? Anyways...glasses and mugs are purchased. As well as a wide selection of eye shadows and other makeup. Our cashier reminded us of our friend, Ms. Tang.=)
12:45: A final stop @ Superstore. We all pick out gel, as well as a Calgon set...as the girls pondered over which tablecloth to purchase, the boys went to buy appropriate "junk" food to put in our baskets. Chocolate covered almonds, Maltesers, hot chocolate, sparkling juice in fancy bottles...etc...

Mmm...I just realized how UNREAL my time frame is...but anyhoot.

As I'm getting tired of writing, here are the rest of the highlights:
1) Cheung has some mad gift-wrapping skills
2) Fong and I love tissue paper
3) Sportsnet, Full House, and gift wrapping go well together
4) We all realized how awesome it was not to shop for ourselves. And how friggin' good the gifts look.=)
