a week full of glee!

This blog is really suffering because I've been so busy at work - and frankly, when you write all day, the last thing you want to do when you get back home is WRITE SOME MORE.

It was a pretty great week at work though! The highlight was this crazy idea I had for Tuesday...given it was the spring premiere of Glee. It's what my colleagues refer to as a "mind movie"....let's just say the story working out depends on a number of ifs, ands, and buts!

I was thinking on Monday night that...there must be some local youth choirs out there who are super excited about the premiere! And so I went on the Google hunt and found a few...and one of them turned out to be a SHOW CHOIR! (translation: a choir that does both dance and song) So on Tuesday morning, I called the school...which had their own version of Mr. Schuester, really, and he put me in touch with a few of his students. They were not only talented but also super excited about the show and how much it's changed the perception of show choir and all that jazz. Turns out they're training for their own version of "regionals", or "nationals"...in fact, they have to head down to the States just to compete with other schools!

They also did some great acapella singing on air...it was radio gold! And an original story! As you can imagine, it made my day :)
