but all I feel is alone

so, here's the thing.

I know that I'm family-oriented. Grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, making beds, doing the laundry, waking up extra early to cook gourmet breakfasts on saturday mornings...those are my kind of activities. I like being seelai-ish. I like to think of it as my niche.

but alas, those activities aren't so well-suited to being alone and having no one to take care of - no one to yell at once I come through the door, no dirty cup or plate to pick up when someone else is lazy, no one to catch up with over dinner, no one to hug goodnight.

so...I'm learning how to be alone right now. I'm not used to it, but I'm making an active effort.

by the way, i'd much rather cook for 20 than cook for 1/2.
