(I think I’m growing increasingly contemplative as I continue to listen to Jon Foreman’s Fall on repeat)
You say the unknown frightens you
I agree with that as well
But in good company
We can make the unknown worth a while
We sit and wait together sometimes
But other times all I feel is alone
As I sit and wait on you
To wander your way here
Despite having been angry
and sometimes sad about the fact
I’ve begun to grow fond of the waiting
Even if you are not there
I’m beginning to understand
That our God is a God of infinite time
Who will fulfill His will
When He deems appropriate
And so, I’m strangely at peace
Now no longer waiting on you
But for someone bigger, someone stronger,
Than you and I combined
Knowing He can carry us both
In His time
