cattle cafe - food porn
snerk, this one's for you! I've been hearing such great things about cattle cafe that I just had to go - and did so for the first time for lunch on my bday. I had the original fish soup with vermicelli, beef brisket, and mushrooms. I forgot to take photos of their chili oil here, but that was nom nom delicious. there's something pickled in the chili oil that I don't quite know - but it kicks arse.
Anyways, I subsequently returned four days later with someone who has also never been. I had the laksa this time, with "rice spaghetti", beef brisket and chicken balls. oh that laksa was gosh darn delicious - especially with the tofu puffs.
Moving on, I started feeling guilty that I hadn't brought my sister...so, last thursday, after early dismissal, we went. And here is the photographic evidence. :)

steaming still!

I'm starting to really like their rice noodles. That fish soup base is good. Cleaned the entire bowl the last time I went. I recently read an article from a HK food columnist who had a bowl of their noodles when he visited Vancouver. To his surprise, he liked it very much and was amazed by the fish soup. Sounds like another winner.
i love that you went three times in such a short span of time :) the laksa is my favourite! you should thank Dr. Lo, she introduced us!
